Standards

Editorial policy

The standards behind every ranking, review, and comparison we publish - including exactly how the site makes money.

What are our principles?

  • Independence of the ranking

Rankings and scores are set by our editors against the published methodology. The order is not for sale, and a sponsored vendor is never placed at the top of a list because it is sponsored.

  • Hands-on evaluation

We test tools ourselves against a fixed set of criteria before ranking them, and we name the trade-offs plainly rather than repeating vendor marketing.

  • Corrections & updates

When something changes or we get it wrong, we update the page and note it. Rankings are refreshed as tools and pricing change.

  • Named accountability

Every ranking carries a named byline. We do not publish anonymous verdicts or fabricated credentials.

How do we make money?

zaza test news is a monetized review publication, and we think you should know exactly how. We do not pretend the site is free of commercial relationships - instead we keep them transparent and firewalled from the ranking:

  • Affiliate links. Some links to vendors are affiliate links. If you buy or sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes where a tool ranks.
  • Sponsored & featured-partner placements. Vendors can pay for a clearly labeled placement. These are marked "Sponsored" or "Featured Partner" and set apart in their own slot, visually separated from the organic ranked list. A sponsorship buys visibility - it does not buy a ranking position or a score.
  • What money cannot buy. The editorial order, the SupportScore, and the verdicts are decided by our reviewers against the published methodology. That is not for sale.

The one-line commission disclosure appears once in the site footer, and covers the whole site. See How We Test for how independence is built into the process itself.
